Update from review sent previously. Staff is still good world wide. From France to Dallas to North Carolina to Miami. The prices leave some to be desired. When I first started SIXT all prices were better or comparable to other rental companies. Now it is hit or miss. Mostly miss during my past few researches for cities in the USA. However, nothing can beat the fantastic cars they do have for rent. Oh yeah, the staff is very friendly and helpful every time I have rented with them. All for now. I was skeptical of SIXT reading Google reviews. After using this company for the past 7 months I have nothing but good to say of this company. Great cars for a good price. Very courteous staff at all points I come in contact with from the counter to drop off. My only wish is more discounts for loyal users. Try this rental company. You will it be disappointed.

Bad car rental service

App appears to be good but I am deleting it after having worst ever experience picking up car. It took two hours to pick up car in Dublin. Also, Agent refused to allow me to rent without taking out insurance. After adding insurance, car cost me twice what another cost just a week later in Scotland with another company! Never renting with Sixt again.

Better than reserved

We had been told RAV 4 would be held for us in Seattle but it wasnt. So Alex upgraded us to brand new Chevrolet full size SUV. Thank you for excellent customer service!

If toure looking foe a cheap car to hire you entered the wrong site

The cars shown on the site to hire are usually very expensive comparing with other sites

Why the bad rating guys ?

Its amazing app where you can rent a car near by you with location indicator with paperless. The contract will be uploaded in the app as soon as you get the keys . What do you what more and the services is amazing too . So the app is easy to use and easy to read the details . Thats what you should rate about .and I like the countdown for the days until you get the car its make me exciting

Room for improvement in all ways

App is good but still clumsy as it requires way too many screens to simply book a car. Cars are great and a great value but the booking process takes 5x longer than it should. Use the app to allow renters to tell you their prefs and make all necessary disclosures. SPEED US P THE PHYSICAL CHECK-IN PROCESS, Please!!!!

Horrible

Went on a trip to Dublin with my family for a wedding. The website was horrible. The service was awful. Prices were a lie. Didnt even get the car or the items we reserved. Have personally traveled all around the world and rented cars from many places. WILL NEVER EVER rent from them again and will tell everyone I know about the horrible experience.

Great app and great service

The last four times I used this rental company for my trip Ive never had a problem with the cars service.

I like Sixt overall, but....

Overall I have a good experience with Sixt rental car. The one constant problem is the lack of being able to contact a particular branch. The company is basically ran by an automated system and even if you get a live person its more than likely in a location where your not and they transfer you around to get back to the automated system to be then transferred to another state in which your not trying to reach. Its very frustrating for the customer. I seem to always get the car I want or very similar. The app is easy for me to use.

Doesnt work

The app doesnt work. Wont let me register (throws an error) and then doesnt recognize London Heathrow as a location. Weird. Use www instead.

Misleading and bad customer service

I prepaid my rental on their website. When I got there they didnt have the car I have booked,and was charged $65.00 more for smaller car. I was also told either pay $65 more or go somewhere else and pay for the cancellation.

Needs key improvements

Firstly you cant tell which reservation is for which trip when the little avatars come up on the screen. Secondly you need to be connected to data when roaming which is not always practical and is expensive for data charges. For booking it is ok no complaints there. Looking for an improvement soon.

Greatness

The app is easy to follow. Many cars to choose from just need more locations in the USA.

App needs fixing

Never could figure out how to request a specific car from the app even though I kept getting emails telling me as such. Car pricing and selection were good, but returning to heathrow was a disaster because the return location is shown as the airport when in fact it is 10 mins away and they dont provide an address. Also, the apps built in navigation to the return location was also incorrect.
