I dont like paying the deposit of 500$ and waiting two weeks to get the money back... so I used "Turo" app instead and found the perfect vehicle for my trip adventure. First of all, I used the code: 266435rcC0lO and got $25 off! I guess its for all first time user, but great part is, no deposit, just pay the rental amount! Which was only 33$ a day.

I dont know why weve continued to rent from Sixt. Weve rented approximately 10-12 times and maybe one time its gone without a hitch. Its usually young people behind the counter that really dont know what theyre doing !!! We wont rent again! For sure this time !!!

I used this app for my last rental. Its really nice! Keeps you reminded about your rental and is also easy to use to set it up. You can also upgrade your car free if its available and youre a plus member!

The US app version needs some clean up. Some dates are in European format and others in US format which caused me some confusion. Some USD dollar amounts were in European format. Not everything was translated into English. Otherwise the app works well and I appreciate the passbook feature for convenience purposes.

I reserved a car yesterday from SJC (CCAR category) and received confirmation from the app that there were cars available. Upon arrival (11/29 at 11:40am) I was told that no such cars were available and that I could "upgrade" to an XCAR for an additional $15 per day. A quick search of the app told me that there were still CCARs (and multiple other small car categories) available. In each case, I was told by the rental car agent that there was no inventory and that I should not believe the app...that I should be calling them directly in order to confirm car availability. In each case they also quoted me a more expensive rate than what the app told me was available. Given that the app does show a number of car categories as "Sold Out" its pretty misleading to tell me not to believe their own app when it tells me a car is confirmed. To compound this by repeatedly quoting me a higher price at the counter than the app says is available makes me feel like there is a bait and switch operation going on. Until or unless this is fixed, I cannot recommend using SIXT from the San Jose airport (or any other location)

Its very annoying to login again after the app upgrade. Please fix this for next updates. If everyone company/developer fails in this I would be typing in my user/pass the whole day with all the app updates.

In the new update: The calendar wont move past November 2015 to make a selection for pickup and drop off time.

Not useful at all, as you need to validate your email before it will allow you to log in and the email you receive is in some other language other than English and the only link takes you to a page that does not exist.

No English version? Seriously?

The single worst application I have ever used.

I have been using Sixt for nearly half a year for all my business rental car needs, domestically as well as internationally. The onsite service by far exceeds and agency Ive used in the past. The cars are modern and almost always a European luxury brand and the prices are unbeatable. Highly recommend this rental car company.
